Taking the cue from my doctoral dissertation, I will focus on the references to the joyful festival of the Choes in the comedy Acharnians by Aristophanes. I will point out the elements of the party and the hypothesis on how these elements were performed on the stage. At the same time, I will highlight some small choes of 5th century providing documentary evidence of the children’s involvement within the party. Then I will propose some causes for reflection on the theater and the scenic space where Acharnians were performed in Athens in 425 bc.
