The problem of obtaining an estimate of the global particle flux in magnetized plasmas is a major challenge in experimental plasma physics. For most diagnostics, fluxes can be obtained only in one dimension, such that conclusions regarding global transport have to be made under the assumption of azimuthal symmetry. However, full cross-section measurements in toroidal geometries of 2D coherent structures in the density and potential turbulence show that they can be highly asymmetric. This indicates that this is also the case for the particle transport driven by turbulence . In the present work, conditional averages of coherent structures in the electrostatic turbulence of the simple magnetized torus Blaamann have been investigated in order to obtain information about their contribution to the particle transport. An estimate of the transport is made from the electron saturation current Isat_-, and the spatial derivative of the floating potential V_f, where Isa_t- and V_f are 2D measurements of the averaged conditionally sampled signals at a certain condition at a reference probe.
