This article contains the preliminary publication of a Berber text composed in 18th-19th century, discovered by the author during his field-work in Tunisia. Its discovery represents an important piece of knowledge in the hitherto scantily known religious literature of Tunisian an Libyan Berbers. The overall structure of the whole poem is presented, including a sample of 21 stanzas out of 42, and some related poems are compared, leading to the first attempt at sketching some aspects of the religious literature of the Berber-speaking Ibadite communities in Northern Africa.
