Since judgement STC 31/2010, the Spanish Constitutional Court has been frequently asked to pronounce on the so-called “Catalan question”-which deals with the relationships existing between Spanish and Catalan authorities-as well as on legislative and administrative acts adopted from both sides and sentences passed by Spanish Courts. In this context, unanimity was reached in all the cases submitted to the Spanish Constitutional Court, until judgment STC 75/2019 was pronounced and some dissenting opinions were written thereupon. The aim of this article is to analyse these dissenting voices and try to develop some remarks on the influence that dissenting opinions could have while considering topics in which legal and political questions cannot be considered one without the other.

Abstract
Since judgement STC 31/2010, the Spanish Constitutional Court has been frequently asked to pronounce on the so-called “Catalan question”-which deals with the relationships existing between Spanish and Catalan authorities-as well as on legislative and administrative acts adopted from both sides and sentences passed by Spanish Courts. In this context, unanimity was reached in all the cases submitted to the Spanish Constitutional Court, until judgment STC 75/2019 was pronounced and some dissenting opinions were written thereupon. The aim of this article is to analyse these dissenting voices and try to develop some remarks on the influence that dissenting opinions could have while considering topics in which legal and political questions cannot be considered one without the other.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
