The topic of GMOs provides a fruitful terrain for discussing questions concerning legal regulation of new scientific advances in biotechnology. The paper focuses on GMO from the point of view of the international legal regulation concerning biosafety and concludes that the Cartegena Protocol still provides a good example of legal regulation of complex multidisciplinary bioethical problems.

Abstract

The topic of GMOs provides a fruitful terrain for discussing questions concerning legal regulation of new scientific advances in biotechnology.
