Orientation is often used in common speech as though it were a clear and defined area, on which there is now agreement and consensus on its definition, the theories and models of reference, the methodologies and in the practices implemented. In actual fact, this vision turns out to be somewhat of a cliché, not corresponding in full to the reality of the situation. Orientation can be supported by several visions of the world and/or ideologies, more attentive to the inclusion and democratic nature of the processes supporting the growth of people and societies or more aimed at criteria of Darwinian selection. It is precisely for these possible less visible ideological levels that the process and practices of orientation have to be reconsidered in a way that is neither predictable nor banal, deconstructing its multiple levels of conditionings, whether they are positive or negative.
