This article aims to briefly review the different multisensory integration techniques by using visual feedback in rehabilitation that had led to the use of virtual reality as a rehabilitation tool. Today, virtual reality is taking a key role in the field of rehabilitation, especially in the field of neurorehabilitation, to treat motor, cognitive and pain disorders. However, it is unknown which is the best way to conduct this therapy and which kind of patients may get greater benefit from such therapy.
