The current international debate widely recognises the need for improving the quality of ECEC for all children and families. This is especially true whe taking into account the impact that ECEC can have on the wellbeing of children and famiglies with vulnerable background, inclusing immigrant, refugee and asyluum seekers. Although much as been done to recude inequalities, multiple barriers to accessing ECEC settings, cultural segregation and discrimination, differences in educational opportunities and poverty still exists.
