Abstract

A detailed bifurcation analysis of a non-ideal Proportional-Integral controlled Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) has been performed taking advantage of the application of the high codimension bifurcation theory in order to point out all possible peculiar patterns of non-linear dynamic behavior. In particular, Type I Hopf degeneracies, typically induced by integral controller introduction, reveal themselves to be a considerable source of such richness
