In the blooming evolution of the information society, Italy, also with reference to multiple and different experiences at international level, introduced a regulation dedicated to the issues of transparency and accessibility to documents, data and information from public administrations. In particular the legislator and the anticorruption authority (A.N.AC.) provided a broad and in-depth picture of the reference standards and guidelines for their correct interpretation and application. After some years from the introduction of the legislative decree n. 33 the main strengths and weaknesses of this important reform were examined, also highlighting some useful elements in order to overcome the limits that the Italian FOIA presents today
