We propose to analyse longitudinal survey data by using survey weights and missing responses via a two step procedure to estimate the parameters of the Hidden Markov model with covariates affecting the latent process. The joint estimated posterior probabilities are employed to make predictions on the latent trajectories of the course of public trust of the Polish society.

Abstract

We propose to analyse longitudinal survey data by using survey weights and missing responses via a two step procedure to estimate the parameters of the Hidden Markov model with covariates affecting the latent process. The joint estimated posterior probabilities are employed to make predictions on the latent trajectories of the course of public trust of the Polish society.
