Introduzione. I classici nella ricerca storico-educativa

The contribution offers a reflection on the concept of tradition and on the concept of "classics" in the history of pedagogy and the history of education. It underlines, starting from the etymology of inheritance, the importance of a relationship with the past that is not instrumental, but that allows to read the present. If we keep the relationship with the past alive, in fact, we can build the bond between generations solidly and profoundly.

Il contributo propone una riflessione sul concetto di tradizione e sul concetto di "classici" nell'ambito della storia della pedagogia e della storia dell'educazione. Sottolinea, a partire dall'etimologia di eredità, l'importanza di una relazione con il passato che non sia strumentale, ma che permetta di leggere il presente. Se manteniamo vivo il rapporto con il passato, infatti, possiamo costruire in maniera solida e profonda il legame fra generazioni.
