We present a calculation of the fully differential cross section for WZ production in hadronic collisions accurate to the order α S . The full analytical result is given. We also perform a phenomenological study of WZ production at LHC and SSC colliders. One interesting feature of the result is a strong enhancement of the p T spectrum of the W- and Z-bosons at high p T . The enhancement is shown to be caused by the combined effect of a high quark-gluon luminosity and the presence of a doubly logarithmic enhancement in the qg → qWZ partonic cross section. Another interesting feature we study is a depletion of the cross section when the W and the Z have equal rapidities. We show that this effect persists even when radiative corrections are included. © 1992.

Abstract
