Oral implants in orthodontic treatment

More and more frequently, planning complex treatments, dentists include orthodontic steps associated with implant insertion: multiple are possible correlations between orthodontics and implantology. In literature it's possible to find our treatments with make use of orthodontics to facilitate implant insertion ("pre-implantology orthodontics", but more recently implants can used as stable anchorage to obtain specific orthodontic movements. Results of this association are really successful, both on a functional point of view, either on aesthetic one; the only orthodontic applies used are NiTi in order to develop light and controlled forces. In such a way and being very careful to periodontal respect, implant management and final clinical results can be optimised.
