The administration of the Mexican republic created new conditions of registration. So, the Mixe found themselves obliged to find new names. These changes took place within the youth of the generation the majority of which is still living today. Origin and changes of ethnonyms, toponyms, and personal names are discussed on the basis of references in publications as well as field experiencesI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
