Abstract
The article analyzes the nature of the responsibility of the Brazilian President indicated in articles 85 and 86 of the Federal Constitution to conclude that, despite the different formulation of the constitutional text, there is only one form of responsibility whose nature is substantially political. Starting from this, the author wonders about the use of presidential responsibility within the Brazilian presidential (coalition) form of government as an ordinary tool for the management of political-institutional crisis phases, asking, moreover, if in the light of the concrete cases, we can frame its functioning within a new paradigm of Brazilian and Latin American constitutionalismI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
