The report presents a study that was conducted on the Primary Education Faculty web community, which is hosted on the Docebo platform of the University of Milan-Bicocca. This community was selected for analysis due to the special circumstances that led to its establishment and because it has large numbers of registered members. The study was conducted with the double objective of highlighting the students' descriptions of the community as a tool and a space for relating to others as well as studying how the users perceive the styles that e-tutors use to moderate. A qualitative methodology was used, and the information gathered from structured interviews and focus groups was analyzed. The results bring dimensions to light that represent the different ways of perceiving the community as well as the reasons why students consider the community to be useful. The data on moderating demonstrated that e-tutors intervened mainly to provide guidance and manage communication within the forums, respecting the phases in the Salmon model.

A qualitative methodology was used, and the information gathered from structured interviews and focus groups was analyzed. The results bring dimensions to light that represent the different ways of perceiving the community as well as the reasons why students consider the community to be useful.
