This case study aims to describe the strategic international growth history for Shaner Hotels. In begins with the expansion in Tuscany, Italy and then expands into the Bahamas to the former Club Med Resort. The case study begins with how the Italian Hotel Industry is improving its competitiveness, in the globalized economy, in terms of innovation and supplementary services delivered to the customers. Innovation (as implementation of new technologies) and supplementary services represent the driver for the Italian Hotel Industry to increase the creation of value and to become more competitive in the international arena. An industry that is growing, modernizing and expanding with brand named hotels due to the projected growth in travelers to Italy in the future, many form Asia and other BRIC economies who perceive Italy as an iconic historical and innovative nation
