Educare all'altro. Il rispetto dell'ospite nell'Odissea. Alcune riflessioni pedagogiche.

This paper analyses the subject of respect for the guest in Homeric poems, especially in the Odyssey: this theme can be a key to reading the adventures of the protagonist. The centrality of this theme reveals that it is a fundamental value within educational message of the poem. The principle of the respect for the guest is part of an archaic ethic, wich is not based only on warlike areté. This value is a hub of the heroic model and with this also the education of the later epochs will have to face

Il contributo analizza la tematica del rispetto dell’ospite presente nei poemi omerici e in particolare nell’Odissea, tematica che si rivela fulcro e possibile chiave di lettura delle avventure del protagonista. La centralità di tale tematica dimostra che essa costituisca un valore fondamentale all’interno del messaggio educativo paradigmatico di cui il poema si fa portatore: il precetto del rispetto dell’ospite innerva un’etica arcaica evidentemente basata non solo sull’aretè guerriera e resta come cardine di un modello eroico con il quale dovrà fare i conti anche l’educazione delle epoche successive
