Abstract

In the Digital Diorama research project (henceforth DD) we used digital technology to produce innovative learning environments and educational tools to enhance the traditional teaching methods still widely used today at school. The DD reproduces a set of Natural History Museum’s dioramas for IWBs, other electronic devices. Using the DD enhances students learning. The students learning through the explorations of DD and the development of educational strategies recommended to teachers. The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), that periodically issues a call for Science Diffusion, funds the research project. Three Italian Universities, an urban park and a primary school, where the DD prototype was tested, have carried out the project jointly
