Transplant of autologous adipose-derived stem cells for the treatment of Diabetic Ulcer – Preliminary Communication. Diabetic ulcer takes part to the pathology of the “Diabetic Foot”, it is a serious complication, because is expression of a multi-organ disease, typical of the advanced phase of Diabetes. The treatment of diabetic pathology is necessarily via a Multi-Disciplinary sistemic approach, focused on vital organs affected by such disease. Care of ulcer prevents major complications and possible amputation. Transplant of autologous lipocytes around ulcer was associated in several patients to more traditional treatment, and a faster wound healing was observed. Multipotent adipose-derived stem cells favour neoangiogenesis and proliferation and consequent ulcer healing.
