The decision to live in non-urban areas is, as we know, motivated by different factors, in particular for those residents moving away from cities. Literature normally devotes attention to dimensions such as the cost and quality of life. Little focus, however, is placed on the issue of conditions of liveability in the various local contexts according to the parameter of temporal reading. The paper presents the results of a secondary enquiry into the issue of the relationship between residential location and temporal liveability, and sets out to propose empirical evidence to corroborate, or not, the hypotheses on the disappearance of the distinction between the temporal styles of the populations living in different local areas in demographic dimension and geographical distribution. The study presents a theoretical section, aimed at examining in depth the definition of the concepts of residential location and temporal liveability, and one of a methodological slant, aimed at offering an operative description of the respective properties and of their indices, in order to analyse the relation existing between residential location indices and those of time liveability. It has been carried out in 2009 on the data retrieved in the second Istat survey on the use of time in the period 2002-2003.

Abstract
It has been carried out in 2009 on the data retrieved in the second Istat survey on the use of time in the period 2002-2003.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
