Drawing discipline and of visual design representation have been established in the field of architecture as a knowledge and creative tool, but it embrace the wider field of design culture. Visual communication is a specific, bi-dimensional scale of the project both anagogic and digital, in which the artifact is a communication good in itself. The paper proposes a critical perspective on the disciplinary identity and the teaching modalities with a specific focus on classes outside traditional context
