We report about the Milano experiment to measure the electron antineutrino mass from the study of the Re-187 beta decay end-point. We present the analysis of the data collected during the first measurement with an array of AgReO4 crystals. The total mass and measuring time are about 2.3 mg and 10830 h x det respectively, giving a total statistics of approximately 6 x 10(6) (187R)e beta decays. We also report the preliminary results of a new measurement aiming at understanding the radioactive background observed in the previous data.

Abstract
We report about the Milano experiment to measure the electron antineutrino mass from the study of the Re-187 beta decay end-point. We present the analysis of the data collected during the first measurement with an array of AgReO4 crystals. The total mass and measuring time are about 2.3 mg and 10830 h x det respectively, giving a total statistics of approximately 6 x 10(6) (187R)e beta decays. We also report the preliminary results of a new measurement aiming at understanding the radioactive background observed in the previous data.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
