Language contact between Spanish and Italian in digital forms of communication The object of this study is the language contact between Spanish and Italian in digital forms of communication in a context of migration. The sociolinguistic analysis of a corpus made up of texts produced during online interpersonal interactions by Latin-American university students at the University of Milan-Bicocca reveals a language variety that is determined by this new digital means of communication and by the generational factor, which is an expression of a new identity.
