Small group activities are widely used in medical education for teaching practical skills and multilevel complex knowledge. Small group is a learning environment where student are involved both from the cognitive and the relational point of view. Not only what is delivered, but also how the learning contents are transmitted and the teaching strategies, have a deep influence on the learning processes and on thier efficacy. Tutorship style is a primary variable in creating the adequate background for improving the learning process and in making the students’ experience fruitful. Structure, processes and problems of small group teaching and basic group dynamics principles will be presented in the paper. A set of suggestion concerning the within group members relational problems and some principles of mindfulness co-working will be described.
