The aim of this contribution is to analyse the manner in which selected jurisdictions of European Union provide procedural regulations on legal gender and name reassignment, to emphasize the bene ts of uick administrative procedure for amending legal gender and name upon civil status records, and to highlight the potential advantages of a uni ed procedure on it throughout all European Union Member States.
