In this article, we consider Hopf's Lemma and the Strong Maximum Principle for supersolutions to ∑<sub>i=1</sub><sup>N</sup> g<sub>i</sub>(u <sub>xi</sub><sup>2</sup>)u<sub>xixi</sub>=0 under suitable hypotheses that allow g<sub>i</sub> to assume value zero at zero.
