During the last decades within the field of vocational psychology a growing interest has been devoted to the issue of educational and professional barriers. They may hinder adolescents' processes of career planning and are exacerbated by the instability and precariousness that characterize today's world of work. Understanding obstacles adolescents perceive when they reflect on their future could help them better plan their career and educational paths. This study describes the Italian adaptation of the "Perception of Educational Barriers" questionnaire. Results show adequate psychometric requisites, which confirm that it could be used in vocational guidance activities to understand barriers that adolescents perceive and plan how to overcome them.
