The acquisition of certain aspects of scientific disciplines could be enriched and facilitated by exploiting the resources found in Natural History Museums. This project plans to digitalize some dioramas transforming them into multimedia interfaces accessible through the interactive whiteboard (IWB), pc and tablet. The Digital Diorama is an attractive instrument, made by several media resources and implemented in order to stimulate discussions on crossover topics, avoiding a traditional way of teaching. Both quantitative and qualitative evaluation approaches will be utilized during the testing of a Digital Diorama prototype, involving some primary school classes. The testing of all the Digital Dioramas will involve more than 20 classes of various levels distributed throughout Italy
