This monography presents a critical edition and annotated study of an unpublished Arabic manuscript on the martyrdom (maqtal) of al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī. Based on the manuscript preserved in the Biblioteca Ambrosiana (MS 1526), the work reconstructs the text through philological analysis, correcting scribal errors and documenting variant readings. Particular attention is given to the poetic passages embedded in the narrative, with metrical, linguistic, and contextual commentary.
