Fredens Havn is a small floating community located in a canal in the Christianshavn district of Copenhagen. The group, made up mainly of people in vulnerable conditions, has been trying since 2006 to claim their right to "be there." The book recounts ethnographic research conducted among the boats of Fredens Havn between 2016 and 2017. The work focuses on space and spatiality starting with reflections on the ability of the inhabitants to produce signification through a particular use of space and resources at their disposal. Fredens Havn is an example of how today many groups present in our cities need to resist the new urbanization policies to make room.
