Zipf ’s Law, the discrete version of the Power Law, emerges in se-veral areas of research, because it is the distribution that reflects the principle of scale invariance. Thus it is typically related to complex systems. Here an algorithm is proposed to evaluate the parameter estimation of the Zipf’s Law that best fits a set of data according to the maximum likelihood principle.
