Abstract - Since September 2011 some cultivation assays of the benthic marine microalga Chrysophaeum taylorii Lewis & Bryan (Pelagophyceae) have been conducted in vitro in order to detect the best medium for successful cultivation and culture maintenance. To the purpose, both solid and liquid media were obtained using different recipes and tested under laboratory conditions.
