Cognitive impairment was evaluated by means of the Luria-nebraska neuropsychological Battery (LNNB) in 24 drug-free patients with early Alzheimer type dementia (DAT) 24 multinfarct dementia (MD) patients and 24 normal controls. The LNNB clinical scales indicates a lower degree of cognitive impairment and qualitative deficit differences in the MID patientsas compared to the DAT group. the latter showed ore impairment on the all clinical scales. the localisation scale results showed right hemisphere functional deficits for both patient groups. DAT patients, however, had greater impairment of left hemisphere frontal and parietal area functions

Abstract
Cognitive impairment was evaluated by means of the Luria-nebraska neuropsychological Battery (LNNB) in 24 drug-free patients with early Alzheimer type dementia (DAT) 24 multinfarct dementia (MD) patients and 24 normal controls. The LNNB clinical scales indicates a lower degree of cognitive impairment and qualitative deficit differences in the MID patientsas compared to the DAT group. the latter showed ore impairment on the all clinical scales. the localisation scale results showed right hemisphere functional deficits for both patient groups. DAT patients, however, had greater impairment of left hemisphere frontal and parietal area functionsI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
