MicroRaman spectroscopy has been used to investigate the products of laser-induced cage opening reactions in fullerite films. Laser irradiation of fullerite under oxidative conditions produces a conversion to amorphous carbon. The analysis of the Raman spectra suggests the formation of a partially ordered a-C phase. The relation between its structure and the fullerene fragmentation process is discussed. © 1994 Elsevier Science Ltd.

Abstract
MicroRaman spectroscopy has been used to investigate the products of laser-induced cage opening reactions in fullerite films. Laser irradiation of fullerite under oxidative conditions produces a conversion to amorphous carbon. The analysis of the Raman spectra suggests the formation of a partially ordered a-C phase. The relation between its structure and the fullerene fragmentation process is discussed. © 1994 Elsevier Science Ltd.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
