This issue of the Italian Sociological Review "Family and Family Relations at the Time of COVID-19" (edited by Paola Di Nicola, University of Verona, and Elisabetta Ruspini, University of Milano-Bicocca) explores the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on families and family relations, with a specific focus on Italy. The contributions use quantitative and qualitative research techniques to highlight, on one hand, the strategies of adaptation and resilience implemented by families. On the other hand, however, the pandemic seems to have exacerbated differences and inequalities to the particular detriment of children and women.
