The paper analyses the Improving Plans of the experimental project 'Evaluation & Improving' by the INVALSI's feedback. Schools built their Improving Plans starting from the External Evaluators' suggestions but with full independency on their plans' decisions. The results highlight that almost all schools follow the External Evaluators' advices. About half of the schools chose to work on educational processes and less than 5% on student results; schools prefer to repeat well known models regarding educational processes, to the detriment of results. Furthermore schools highlight difficulties on planning activities, times and resources' feasibility and on evaluation method in the Improving Plans. Finally it is confirmed that external evaluators' composition has to be mixed. The external feedback seems to be one of the most important instruments in order to start improving paths in schools.
