The aim of this paper is to evaluate qualitatively some oral health education programmes taking into account the methodology of the educational process analysed by some indicators. Twelve programmes, targeted to people from zero to fifteen years and carried out in the European area, are studied. Evaluation criteria include: the oral health prevention themes, fluoride supplementation, the educational approach used, learning objectives and predisposing factors, participation process, reinforcing factors, the output measures, the length of the program and the age of the target population. Based on the analysis standards to improve efficacy are proposed.
