Teachers difficulties mastering linguistic educational itinerary proposed to help child producing correct phrasal structures, led us to implement an educational software environment to achieve a better generalitasion of the itinerary and a better control over the subjective variables. A flexible and rigorous software was developed and given the name Semele (Semantica Elementare); the program had a form of an adventure game and included a natural language analyser. We make some experiments with adult/ child dyades using this software. The results show the Semele program's effectiveness in improving the verbal completeness of children' sentences. Analyzing adult/child speech acts occuring during Semele sessions we found an important factor of this efficacy in the conversational modalities between the adult and the child that created an appropriate learning context
