Composite indicators are part of the "e-Readiness of European enterprises" initiative of the European Commission "e-Europe 2005" action plan for benchmarking countries" performance. We carried out a quality assesment on the e-business readiness composite indicator focusing on the uncertainty and sensitivity analysis to gain insights during its building porcess and to asses the reliability of the resulting countries rankings. We illustrate our approach with data obtained through the latest enterprise surveys.
