The Mediterranean coast in Roses (Cataluna): a training trip

The viewing point which is discussed in this report is a small seaside town, Roses, which looks out over the Mediterranean. The journey to get there had been anticipated and prepared some time before from another trip to the step Gries, in Val d'Ossola. They are both significant places for two great thinkers of the twentieth century: in Catalonia, near Roses, lived Ramon Panikkar: Tavertet to be precise, where he still home the Vivarium Intercultural Studies Center, which he founded. The Plateau Ossola in Piedmont, was a place of life and memory of Piero Bertolini. Even for this double reason I feel a duty to bear witness that he had the opportunity and the intention to know, see and walk the two places.

Il punto di osservazione di cui si parla in questa relazione è una piccola cittadina di mare, Roses, che si affaccia sul Mediterraneo. Il viaggio per arrivarci era stato previsto e preparato qualche tempo prima da un altro viaggio al passo Gries, in Val d'Ossola. Sono entrambi luoghi significativi per due grandi pensatori del XX secolo: in Catalogna, vicino a Roses, ha vissuto Ramon Panikkar: a Tavertet per la precisione, dove ha ancora sede il Centro Studi Interculturale Vivarium, da lui fondato. Il Plateau dell'Ossola in Piemonte, è stato un luogo di vita e di memoria di Piero Bertolini. Anche per questo doppio motivo mi sento il dovere di testimoniare di aver avuto l'opportunità e l'intenzione di conoscere, vedere e camminare nei due luoghi.
