This chapter gives a broad picture population policies in China that changed its demographic profile and arise serious phenomenon. Aging and unbalanced sex ratio at birth are the most important. Many people got benefits from the pressing and coercive demographic policy of the past: Chinese people, took advantage of the undeniably improved living conditions and the urban population in particular; the only children, whose opportunities are far better than the previous generations' ones and also the city-daughters, whose future is getting more and more similar to their male coevals' one. However not everyone got the same share of benefits and, above all, some got none at all.
