We show how NS5-branes wrapped on a two-sphere inside an ALE space give the dual of pure N = 2 SYM in four dimensions. Using seven dimensional gauged supergravity with two or three scalars we find solutions corresponding to circular and linear distributions of classical vevs. These solutions reproduce the correct perturbative result for the coupling constant; they are all singular in the infrared, where field theory instanton corrections, which are not taken into account by the supergravity limit, start becoming relevant.
